Blue Mountains & Australian Wildlife

  • Pick you up from your hotel to commence a full day tour to the Blue Mountains. Arrive at Scenic World and join the optional Blue Mountains rides – Scenic Railway, Cableway or Skyway (own expense). These rides are a great way to see the steep valleys, canyons and Three Sisters rock formation. Stopping at a vantage point, you’ll be treated to a spectacular view of the Three Sisters. Discover Leura village where you will have free time for lunch (own expense) or the chance to wander the streets. Next enjoy an afternoon encounter at Featherdale Wildlife Park and have your photo taken with a cuddly koala, see kangaroos, wombats, dingoes and little penguins. Travel back to Sydney. Tour concludes at approximately 6:00pm, at which time hotel drop offs will commence.

The City Tour, Rocks Walking Tour & Bondai Beach

  • Pick you up from your hotel for your transfer to Wheat Road, Streetside behind Sydney Aquarium, Darling Harbour, the departure point of your tour. At 8.15am join your coach to commence a morning City Tour. See points of interest including The Rocks, Sydney Opera House and visit Mrs Macquaries Chair for superb views of the harbour and city skyline. Journey to Bondi Beach, Australia’s most famous surf beach, where you can wander along the shoreline and dip your toes into the cool ocean. Next stop is the entrance of Sydney Harbour, known as the Gap. A dramatic ocean cliff on the eastern coast of Sydney, the Gap provides breathtaking views of the coastline. Return to Sydney through the famous suburbs of Double Bay, Paddington and Kings Cross. Tour concludes at approximately 11.45am and you may disembark at either Darling Harbour or Circular Quay.

Harbour Highlights Cruise

  • Board your Captain Cook Cruises vessel at Jetty 6 Circular Quay to commence an afternoon Harbour Highlights cruise. Travel aboard a motorised vessel and enjoy magnificent views of Sydney Harbour including the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, exclusive suburbs and Darling Harbour. Cruise concludes approximately 75 minutes after commencement, at Circular Quay.

The Bridge Climb – Day Climb

  • Join your Bridge Climb at No 3 Cumberland Street, The Rocks. Please arrange to check in 15 minutes prior to your climb. An alcohol breathalyzer test will be done prior to climbing. This is the opportunity to climb the world famous Sydney Harbour Bridge. A comprehensive briefing and safety demonstration is conducted as well as being provided with a bridge-suit, communications equipment and a bridge harness that is linked to a static line throughout the climb. You will be led by one of Bridge Climb’s professional Climb Leaders, on a 3.5 hour guided journey (including preparation and briefing), to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The Climb takes you along the outer arch of the Bridge on catwalks and ladders all the way to the summit, 134 meters above Sydney Harbour. The steady incline to the summit leaves you free to focus your attention on the surroundings, with the opportunity to witness 360 degree views of Sydney including east to the Sydney Opera House, west to the Blue Mountains and the Harbour city surrounds. Upon conclusion receive a photograph of your climb group, a personalized commemorative climber certificate and climber cap. Tour concludes at the Bridge Climb office.

  • Pick you up from your hotel to commence a full day Kuranda Rail, Skyrail and Tjapukai tour. Transfer to the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park where you will be greeted by an indigenous guide who will escort you through the park to discover this ancient culture through theatres, stage shows and demonstrations. At 12noon board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and glide above the rainforest canopy to Kuranda with stops along the way at Red Peak Station and Barron Falls Station. On arrival there is free time to explore the Village in the Rainforest, and its many attractions, including the Heritage Markets which operates daily, the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary or Kuranda Koala Gardens (own expense). Enjoy lunch at one of the many cafes (own expense). At 3.30pm board the Kuranda Scenic Railway to Cairns, and enjoy spectacular views as the train travels through 15 hand cut tunnels and past spectacular waterfalls. Departing Melbourne, visit the city’s most colourful attraction – the iconic Brighton Beach bathing boxes – before continuing onwards towards Phillip Island. Enjoy a guided walk around the award-winning Moonlit Sanctuary. Enjoy the spectacular “Conservation in Action” wildlife show. Hand feed a broad array of Australian animals, including kangaroos and wallabies. Head to the island’s coast to experience the rugged rocky outcrops and panoramas of the Nobbies before heading to Summerland Beach for the highlight of the show – the internationally renowned Penguin Parade. Travel around the base of Uluru and listen to commentary about the numerous sacred sites and features to be found at Uluru. Continue to the Kuniya Walk where your driver guide will escort you to the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole. View Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the native flora, and the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru. Later visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre where you can learn more about Aboriginal culture and see Aboriginal arts and crafts. In the late afternoon travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area to witness the striking colour changes of Uluru at sunset whilst enjoying nibbles and a complimentary glass of wine.   • The coach will pick you up from your hotel to commence a morning Uluru Sunrise and Kata Tjuta tour. Travel to the sunrise viewing area, Talinguru Nyakunytjaku, and watch the first rays of sunlight creep across the desert plains. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits as the morning sun slowly changes the colour of Uluru. After watching the sunrise travel to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta enjoying panoramic views of the southern side of Kata Tjuta before arriving at the base of Walpa Gorge. Spend time exploring the gorge and the unusual conglomerate rock formations. The walking trail through Walpa Gorge follows the natural creek between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta. Ululu Morning Guided Base Walk 10.5km (Ayers Rock Resort  pick up and drop off)

  • The coach will pick you up from your hotel to commence a morning Uluru Guided Base Walk tour. Rise early and travel to the base of Uluru where you will receive breakfast. Accompanied by your guide, commence your base walk of Uluru as sunrise approaches. First walk from Kuniya Piti, an Uluru sacred site and hear the Tjukurpa (Anangu – the local people – beliefs and law) story of the Mala Men. Next is the Mala Walk, one of the most important habitation areas for the local Aboriginal people over thousands of years. The walk includes a visit into Kantju Gorge where after rainfall, water can cascade over the side of Uluru and plunge some 90 metres. From here, you are then on to the base of the climb point. After a short rest break, continue on along the Lungkata Walk to hear the Tjukurpa story of the cheeky Blue Tongue Lizard! Next stop is the Mutitjulu Waterhole. Your guide will indicate the natural features of the landscape, Aboriginal rock paintings and relay more traditional stories relating to this special place. The waterhole was once an important water source for the Anangu people. The last section to complete your base walk is back to Kuniya Piti where you will board your coach back to Ayers Rock Resort and receive a certificate of your achievement!
